Since their inception in 2005, the University of Huddersfield Ice Hawks have offered both veteran players and newcomers alike the opportunity to play ice hockey at a competitive level, whilst also representing their university in national competition.

The Ice Hawks have just completed their 4th season in Division 2 of the British Universities Ice Hockey Association, having debuted in the league at the start of the 2007/2008 season. During that time the team has gone from strength to strength, increasing the size and quality of the squad dramatically. Ultimately, the result of this improvement was seen during the BUIHA National Championships, with the Ice Hawks recording their first Semi Final appearance in team history, recording wins over both the Northern and Southern league winners.

As a result of these past successes, our hopes and expectations for the 2011/2012 season are high, with the team aiming to improve significantly on the 2010/2011 season. If you're a seasoned veteran or an enthusiastic newcomer and are interested in being a part of the 2011/2012 Ice Hawks squad, feel free to contact us or come to one of our training sessions. Training is held at 10pm every Saturday during term-time at the Bradford Ice Arena.
